The Fiat Panda is a city car from the Italian automobile manufacturer Fiat. The Mk1 Fiat Panda was introduced in 1980, and was produced until 1986, when it under went vast changes. From 1986 until 2003 the Mk2 was produced with only a few changes. It is now sometimes referred to as the “old Panda”. The second generation, Mk3 Panda, launched in 2003, is sometimes referred to as the “New Panda” or “Nuova Panda” (in Italian), and was the European Car of the Year in 2004. The third generation, Mk4 Panda, debuted at Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011 and will be assembled in Italy at Pomigliano d’Arco. In over 31 years Fiat has sold over 6.5 million Pandas globally, with more than 4.5 million being the 1st series Panda.

In addition to controlling the precise timing and quantity of injection, exhaust gas recirculation, and manifold pressure regulation, it also offers a large number of options such as the control of particulate filters or systems for reducing nitrogen oxides. The Bosch EDC17 determines the injection parameters for each cylinder, making specific adaptations if necessary.
